GigaOm Recognizes MantisNet as an Emerging Innovator for Network Observability

March 25th, 2022

Reston VA and Santa Barbara, CA – The new report “GigaOm Radar for Network Observability” calls out MantisNet’s innovation and emerging leadership.

According to the report, “Enterprises of every size are moving applications and infrastructure to the cloud. Maintaining operational awareness is difficult enough within a single cloud environment; when multiple cloud vendors are involved, a robust cloud observability solution becomes essential.”

The report emphasizes that “cloud observability encompasses monitoring, performance measurement, reporting, and predictive analytics. Cloud observability not only promotes operational awareness, it also contributes to both business awareness and IT awareness. Cloud observability solutions are tuned to the volatile nature of cloud environments, able to respond to environment changes based on application needs, finances, and performance fluctuations. Without a cloud awareness platform, balancing multifaceted requirements in the cloud can be difficult.”

MantisNet technology leverages the open monitoring and observability technologies present in the latest generation of cloud and network infrastructure to better identify, isolate and correlate events continuously and in real-time. The MantisNet Continuous Visibility Fabric (CVF®) platform offers full-stack, end-to-end, programmable visibility—powered by an open, standards-based, event-driven, composable architecture that is extensible for a broad range of new and emerging operational and security use-cases. MantisNet technology is innovative and critical for the latest generation of enterprise networking, cloud, IoT and 5G applications across public and private sector applications.

According to the report; MantisNet was identified as a New Entrant and Fast Mover in the network observability space. The report specifically pointed out that, “it’s open, microservices-based and event streaming architecture may challenge the current network monitoring ecosystem.” The report went on to compare MantisNet to the legacy platform solutions from Broadcom, NetScout and SolarWinds.

“We have developed an innovative cloud-native / micro-services-based observability platform (the MantisNet CVF®) that enables more detailed, reliable, and efficient visibility into multi-vendor 5G and IoT infrastructure; from core-to-edge” said Peter Dougherty, CEO of MantisNet. “As a result, we are getting increasing recognition and traction with CSPs, the 5G/IoT vendor ecosystem, as well as infrastructure technology providers to support their dev-ops, service assurance, infrastructure monitoring and cybersecurity use cases.”
